Our responses to mise-en-scene and what it contributes is the faces, texture s,sights, and sounds.
Background Research:
sounds The overall look and feel of the movie, the sum of everything the audience sees, hears, and experiences while viewing it is mise-en-scene.
- Character-involves hair, makeup, clothing, build ,body, language and etc.
- Props-accessories, weapons, gadgets items etc.
- Set-location ,dressing ,space ,timeof day, lighting etc.
- Lighting-is it natural or stylized? Bright or dime? Warm or cold?
Content application:
for mise-en-scene we did a photography mini project it was to show and put all the concepts we learn into one picture. We had to use props like box's gloves paper boards. we had to find a location and set we used a background. Lighting was also include it was dark and only lighting that was used was a flashlight. That's all the mise-en-scene we used in order to make the mini project.
Reflection:
what i know the elements of mise-en-scene is make up, hair, props. What also know is mise-en-scene has something to do time period and location and design. What I learned is mise-en-scene is nearly always the product of very planning each shot in the movie. What i want to know about mise-en-scene the arrangement of the actors and scenery on a stage for a theatrical production which also have to do with setting, and stage.
References/sources:
References I used were notes taken from power points, and canvas to get all information and there were also articles that had to be read. Then write down notes on the articles we read and more power points and vocabulary on mise-en-scene. There were also note charts, and chapter 5 notes.
