Introduction:

A genre is a type of art, music, literature, or cinema that falls into one of several categories. Genres are made up of a wide range of elements also a tale, storyline ,circumstances, and places as well as values, themes and characters, are elements of a genre. Most genre films share themes and subjects genre concepts help producers decide what films to make. 


Background research:

romantic comedy is a type of genre  romantic comedy is a comedic bright movie where the plot focuses on romantic relationships. The process of understanding romantic comedy  is taking notes using references on different websites such as, https://ttake.com https://www.masterclass.com. The notes that were found gave a clear understanding of what romantic comedy is it taught us how to define the genre, analyze it understand  the history of it and the social function.

Gangster genre: Are developed around the action of gang's, mob and underground  figures that operates outside the law. 


Action films: A broad genre that shows a story through, fights, vehicle's , and weapons.



Romantic comedy: A comedic bright movie where the plot focuses on romantic relationship.



sci-fi: a form of fiction that deals principally with the impact of actual or imagined science upon society or individuals.

crime: film genre inspired by and analogous to the crime fiction literary genre



comedy: is a genre of fiction based on humor



horror: suspenseful plot driven stories



Content application:

The information was used to form a power point to present and explain the genre. All the research and notes that were took in class was all but into the power point presentation. The power point was focused and centered around the genre what we've learned and understood about the genre with illustrations and videos and key bullet points on what we were talking about.

Reflection:

what I know about genre is all the different types of genre's and how to identify them. What I want to know is more about genre's why do we have genres? why do we need different types of genre? What I've learned is all the types of genre's how to define them, analyze them, the history and social function.
